Most healthcare organizations, with the exception of research hospitals, have not traditionally had r&d budgets. This is changing as organizations launch innovation labs and appoint vps of innovation in hopes of differentiating themselves in an evolving marketplace. 

To identify some key practices on this journey, the authors asked three healthcare innovation leaders to share their experiences.
